What EdgeStacker is.
EdgeStacker (one word, sometimes written Edge Stacker) is a backtesting platform for traders who want proof before they risk money. You describe a setup in plain English, or upload your trade log, and it gets tested the honest way: walk-forward on data the rules never saw, then a whole-market scan for every ticker where it fires today.
Why "stacking edges"?
Most trading ideas fail an honest test. The ones that survive are small, partial advantages, not magic formulas. The name is the whole thesis: find a real edge, prove it holds on unseen data, keep it, and stack the next one on top. One tested edge beats ten untested ones.
What makes the testing honest?
Every strategy goes through the same two-part test: walk-forward evaluation, where the rules are scored only on periods they never trained on, and a 100-run random-entry gauntlet, so a setup has to beat luck, not just ride a rising market. Fees and slippage are included in every result, and busted setups get published right next to the survivors. The full detail is on the methodology page.
What can you do here?
Free public tools, no login needed: Edge Check grades a ticker and date against the tested library, Edge Radar scans the market for setups firing now, Market Monitor tracks breadth and regime, The Hitchhiker explores strategy space around the clock, and the Library holds the classic setups we have tested, survivors and busted alike. The full app adds plain-English strategy building, trade-log analysis, and a trading journal.
Who is it for?
Traders who are tired of taking setups on faith. If you have ever read "this pattern wins 70% of the time" and wondered whether anyone actually checked, EdgeStacker is the tool that checks. No code, no spreadsheets, and no pretending a backtest is a promise: results here are evidence, not forecasts, and never investment advice.
